Summer trips offer you and your family or group the opportunity to experience the rugged country along the Continental Divide, an area rich with lakes, streams, abundant wildlife and wildflowers at altitudes from 6,000 to 11,000 feet.

In mid July the snow is melted and we are able to get into the backcountry of the Pintler Wilderness area. We offer wilderness trips planned around your desires. We have quite a few options you can integrate into a vacation including scenic and wildlife photography and viewing, lake and stream fishing, hiking, trail rides, and camping-pack trips. Your trip should be at a minimum of four days to really get to experience all that this area has to offer.  We can make arrangements for either longer or shorter trips. These outings are great for families, couples, or groups. We have outlined a few ideas below, but just tell us what you really would like to do and we will work hard to accommodate you and yours.

Or we have a base camp set up in the wilderness ahead of time. We ride out from it to surrounding points of interest, coming back in the evening to a good meal, including wild edibles, shower and comfortable cots.

Another type of pack trip is a "gypsy" style, touring daily through the wilderness, stopping each evening at a different camp site.
